How Do We Review Our Members?
All of our business members must fill out an application with information regarding their insurance, standing with the better business bureau, references from 3 recent customers, and more. This application process is designed to make sure you know who you’re dealing with. Once the application is received, our Home Assist team members get to work on verifying the submitted information.

Our aim is to eliminate all fly-by-night businesses in the home service industries. It’s an unfortunate truth that there’s a great number of scam-artists out there who will keep coming back long enough to get a deposit, only to never be heard from again. Helping Hands For Home Owners
For when a home owner just needs a helping hand…
Home Assist has partnered up with various communities throughout Canada with the focus of helping home owners with various small tasks, or household chores. A lot of the time a home owner simply needs a helping hand, not a contractor. This is where our university members come in!
We at Home Assist know how valuable the time of a university student is. It can be hard to accept a job with full or even part time hours on top of the school work that keeps piling up. The school work is enough already, and you don’t need a job that takes your focus away from school. It’s with this in mind that we’ve developed the Home Assist University Members program, that fits the busy lifestyle of students.
This is what our Home Assist University Members do:
- Register with Home Assist
- Select the area of skill you’re comfortable with, and the types of jobs you’d like to do
- Select your days and hours
As a home owner job inquiry comes in to Home Assist we post this on our job board which is only available to members. All of our members will be notified through email, and you can pick and choose the jobs you’d like to do that fit around your schedule.
Once the job is completed and we talk to the home owner to make sure everything went smoothly you will be emailed the full amount for the hours you worked. No more waiting til payday – every day is payday!

By helping home owners we can also help university students. All of our University Members enjoy the benefits of picking up a shift around their schedule – with no prior obligations! Work one or two days a week to pay for the weekend, or work more! It’s totally up to you!
